Therea bernhardti (Indian domino cockroach)

This is a medium-sized crepuscular cockroach found in scrub forest habitats in Southern India. They are a classic species in the roach hobby due to their attractive appearance when mature. This species is closely related to Therea petiveriana, an extremely similar species from Sri Lanka. Most animals kept in captivity are erroneously labeled petiveriana when they are, in fact, bernhardti or hybrids of the two. Like other species in this genus, nymphs of this species spend the majority of their time burrowed in the substrate, but the adults are commonly surface active. 

Cultures will consist of nymph animals of various counts.
