Haplopelma sp. 'blue femur', formerly Cyriopagopus sp. ‘blue femur’ (Malaysian blue femur tarantula) 0.75"

This is an as-yet-undetermined species from Malaysia, most often labeled as Cyriopagopus robustus (Haplopelma robustum) within the hobby. It is possible that these specimens constitute H. robustum, but that species is no longer a valid taxon, having been designated a nomen dubium in 2020 due to the destruction of the type specimen in 1944. Since there is no type specimen, it is difficult to determine the identity of H. robustum, but a thorough study of the written description may one day revalidate the species and confirm the identity of the hobby specimens as that species. This species is also known as Ornithoctoninae sp. 'blue femur' within the hobby.
