Cilantica devamatha, formerly Haploclastus devamatha (Indian psychedelic tarantula) 1"

This is a medium-sized species endemic to the Southern Western Ghats in the state of Kerala, India. They are subject to ontogenetic color change, with multiple distinct color phases present during their life cycle. Juvenile animals present with a beautiful pink and blue coloration across most of their bodies, gradually transitioning and losing the pink in favor of a metallic blue on the carapace and abdomen with blackish legs. Their metallic lustre makes them quite unique and a must-have for tarantula enthusiasts.
