Melopoeus sp. 'Nhen Dep', formerly Cyriopagopus sp. 'Nhen Dep' (Nhen Dep blue earth tiger tarantula) 0.75"

This is a large-sized, undescribed species originally collected from Vietnam. It is most often referred to as Ornithoctoninae sp. 'Nhen Dep' within the hobby, however, due to the presence of long white setae on the retrolateral cheliceral surface, coupled with its spermatheca shape, it is likely a member of Melopoeus, specifically the schmidti group. Like the other species in the genus, it is a fossorial species. They are unique for their striking blue coloration on the ventral surface of the patella and tibia.
